Standard Chartered has partnered with BlackRock to launch a new Asia Pacific-focused multi-asset fund as the two financial giants seek to capitalise on growing investor interest in the region.

The new fund, known as the Signature Select APAC Allocation Plus Fund, is designed to provide diversified exposure across Asia Pacific equities, fixed income securities and liquid alternative assets through a single investment vehicle. The strategy aims to deliver long-term capital appreciation while generating income by dynamically adjusting allocations across different asset classes as market conditions evolve.
BlackRock will serve as the fund’s sub-manager, leveraging its Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions platform to manage the portfolio. The investment approach combines systematic equity analysis with active fixed income selection to build portfolios capable of generating returns across different market cycles while reducing overall investment risk through diversification.
The fund will initially be offered to accredited and professional investors through Standard Chartered’s Priority, Priority Private and Private Banking businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Jersey, Malaysia, Kenya and Nigeria.
The bank said the product will subsequently be rolled out to additional markets.
Sumeet Bhambri, Standard Chartered’s Global Head of Advisory and Managed Investments for Wealth Solutions, said the launch strengthens the bank’s collaboration with BlackRock while expanding its Variable Capital Company platform with another institutional-quality investment solution tailored to clients seeking broad exposure to Asia Pacific markets.
Andrew Landman, BlackRock’s Deputy Head of Asia Pacific and Head of Asia Pacific Wealth, said the region’s economic growth prospects and attractive asset valuations continue to present compelling investment opportunities. He added that the partnership combines BlackRock’s multi-asset investment capabilities with disciplined portfolio construction to help investors build resilient portfolios through varying market conditions.
Standard Chartered established its Variable Capital Company platform in 2024 to develop exclusive investment products in collaboration with leading global asset managers. The latest launch marks the bank’s eighth sub-fund under the platform and its third introduced this year, reflecting its continued push to broaden wealth management solutions amid increasing demand for sophisticated investment strategies.
The launch also underscores the growing appeal of Asia Pacific among global investors. Despite heightened geopolitical uncertainty and market volatility, the region continues to attract capital on the back of resilient economic growth, expanding consumer markets and rising demand for diversified investment products that offer exposure across multiple asset classes rather than a single market segment.
