AI firm Instinct says it has raised $1 billion in its latest funding round, valuing the company at $10 billion as investor interest in agentic artificial intelligence continues to grow.

The funding round included Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital and Coatue, the company said. Instinct founder Noah Shinn told the Wall Street Journal last month that the company had raised $250 million at a $2.5 billion valuation.
Instinct is developing a personal AI agent designed to perform everyday tasks autonomously. Shinn founded the company in 2025 after previously working at Sierra, an AI customer service startup run by Salesforce co-CEO Bret Taylor.
Agentic AI has drawn growing interest from venture capital investors betting that AI agents could eventually automate entire workflows traditionally performed by employees or software applications.
Instinct says users can communicate with its agent through text or phone calls and ask it to perform tasks including planning trips, buying groceries, booking tickets and cancelling subscriptions.
“This funding helps us bring Instinct to more people and continue building the future of personal AI,” Shinn said in a statement.
The company is also expanding beyond digital tasks with a concierge service that can call businesses on behalf of users to make bookings, Instinct said.
The shift toward agentic commerce has gained momentum as consumers increasingly use AI platforms to complete transactions rather than simply receive recommendations.
Instinct said on Monday that it is continuing to improve privacy features including isolated sandboxes and short-lived local credentials. It has also introduced an active detection system designed to identify subtle hallucinations in agents’ responses.
