MENLO PARK, Calif. — Dec. 8, 2025 – Meta today announced it has acquired Limitless, the artificial intelligence (AI) wearables startup best known for its pendant device that records and summarizes real-world conversations. The acquisition is a strategic move to accelerate Meta’s development of AI-enabled hardware and a “personal superintelligence” that can enhance daily life. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Limitless team will be integrated into Meta’s Reality Labs wearables organization, contributing their expertise in conversational AI and wearable technology to future products, including the Ray-Ban smart glasses. The AI pendant, Limitless’s primary product, uses AI to transcribe, summarize, and store interactions, effectively creating a searchable memory for users.
These articles detail Meta’s acquisition of the AI wearables startup Limitless and its impact on accelerating personal superintelligence efforts:
“Meta recently announced a new vision to bring personal superintelligence to everyone, and a key part of that vision is building incredible AI-enabled wearables,” said Dan Siroker, CEO of Limitless, in a blog post. “We share this vision, and we’ll be joining Meta to help bring our shared vision to life.”
Following the acquisition, Limitless has stopped selling new Pendant devices as of December 5, 2025. The company has assured existing customers that they will receive at least one year of free support under an “Unlimited Plan” and will have the option to export or delete their data in accordance with updated privacy policies.
Limitless, a Denver-based company founded five years ago and formerly known as Rewind, had raised over $33 million from investors including Andreessen Horowitz and OpenAI co-founders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman.
