Amazon has introduced the Kindle Click, a $34.99 Bluetooth remote designed to let users turn pages and adjust screen brightness without touching their Kindle.

The compact accessory is aimed at situations where reaching for the e-reader is inconvenient, including reading in bed, using a Kindle on a treadmill or reading during a flight. Users can press buttons on the remote to move forward or backward through an ebook.
The Kindle Click is compatible with all new Kindle devices as well as Kindle models released from 2024 onward. It connects wirelessly to the e-reader and includes side-mounted controls for adjusting display brightness. The remote can also be recharged through USB-C.
Amazon’s launch comes alongside a significant redesign of its Kindle lineup. The company unveiled new Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Colorsoft models featuring slimmer bodies and flush-front displays designed to create a more seamless appearance.
The redesigned standard Kindle is 6.8 millimetres thick and weighs 140 grams, while Amazon said its new display delivers page turns that are 30% faster than the previous generation. The device starts at $149.99, with an aluminum version featuring 32GB of storage priced at $189.99.
Amazon is also introducing a $79.99 magnetic Page-Turn Cover for the Signature Editions of the new Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Colorsoft. The cover adds physical page-turn buttons while connecting to the devices through contact pins.
The Kindle Click puts Amazon into a small but growing market of wireless page-turning accessories. Rakuten Kobo sells a $29.99 Kobo Remote, while Boox offers its $29.99 Tappy wireless page turner for compatible e-readers.
Amazon is charging more than those competitors for its official accessory, but the Kindle Click is designed specifically for the company’s ecosystem and works across its newer devices.
The company is positioning the accessory as a convenience feature rather than a major hardware upgrade, addressing a simple problem for readers who prefer to keep their Kindle stationary while reading.
The launch also reflects Amazon’s broader effort to refresh the Kindle ecosystem ahead of the e-reader’s 20th anniversary next year, with hardware redesigns and new accessories aimed at making prolonged reading more comfortable.
