Jonathan Peberdy announced as new NatWest Markets CEO after 25 years at the bank.

NatWest Group has today announced the appointment of Jonathan Peberdy as CEO, NatWest Markets*. Jonathan has been Deputy CEO of NatWest Markets since August last year, and succeeds Robert Begbie, CEO, Commercial & Institutional in the role.

Jonathan has been at NatWest for 25 years and has held a number of roles in that time, most recently as Head of Capital Markets where he played a key role in the transformation of the Markets business. 

Robert Begbie, CEO, Commercial & Institutional, NatWest Group said:

“I’m delighted to appoint Jon to lead our Markets business, where he will play a crucial role in building out the next phase of the franchise. Jon brings a wealth of experience and skills to the role, and I look forward to working closely with him to build on our success.”

Jonathan will become an Executive Director and a member of the NatWest Markets Plc board in due course.
