DELRAY BEACH, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–International Materials LLC (IMI) today announced the promotion of Michael R. Kirby to the role of Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO), effective immediately.

In his expanded role, Mr. Kirby will continue to oversee IMI’s financial and accounting functions while taking on a broader range of responsibilities. These encompass oversight of the Chartering, Operations, Trade Execution, Business Strategy and Analytics, Legal, Human Resources, and Information Technology departments. “By consolidating these essential functions under Mike’s capable leadership, we are creating a central hub for strategic coordination that will significantly enhance our overall business service,” commented Robert Walsh, President, and Chief Executive Officer of International Materials.

Mr. Kirby joined IMI in October 2022 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing over 25 years of invaluable experience spanning the financial services, commodities, banking, and technology sectors. Throughout his career, he has held roles in esteemed organizations such as Noble Group, James Alpha Liquid GSE, and RBS Sempra Commodities, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. His international exposure in the U.S., London, and Hong Kong has enriched his global perspective and bolstered his skillset.
