Tietoevry Care introduces Lifecare AI Search for Care Measures – the first AI solution in municipal care in Sweden

Press Release – 28 February 2025 – Tietoevry Care is excited to announce the introduction of Lifecare AI Search for Care Measures, Sweden’s first AI solution in municipal care and welfare system, now available to over a hundred care providers across Sweden.

Integrated into Lifecare HSL, a module for health and care documentation, this new function simplifies and streamlines the Swedish classification of care measures (KVÅ). By leveraging artificial intelligence, care professionals can now find the correct procedural codes effortlessly, reducing administrative workload and improving accuracy.

Enhancing efficiency and patient safety

The Lifecare AI Search for Care Measures improves the efficiency for nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists working in municipal care. Finding the right code has traditionally been a time-consuming process, requiring extensive knowledge of complex classification systems. Manual searches through long code lists not only take valuable time but also increase the risk of misclassification, which can impact reporting, statistics, and operational management.

With this intelligent search function, care professionals can now use natural language search to quickly and accurately retrieve the relevant procedural codes. The AI function understands the intent behind user queries, tolerates spelling variations, and provides contextually appropriate suggestions.

Utilizing semantic analysis and machine learning, the function provides relevant classification suggestions based on free-text searches and contextual information. Importantly, no patient information is transmitted outside the system, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
